A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse July 22, 2018 Air Bourne Scripture Reading – Psalm 19:14 (NLT)"May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer."

I am so thankful to the Lord that I grew up in a home where both of my parents were committed to taking our family to church. I don't mean once in a while, or when they felt like it (of course especially as a youngster my waking/prepping and transportation depended on them) - but I mean each and every Sunday of the year, our family found themselves in the place of worship, calling upon the strong name of Jesus Christ.

As much as at times I did not like going (especially during those younger teen years), I must confess that I see times when the finger of God was actually touching and preserving my life for better things. I do remember one of the benedictions that the Pastor would often pray over the congregation is our text today.

Really a beautiful prayer as we understand that the words that we speak are really rooted in our hearts. As we ask the precious Holy Spirit to guard our hearts, then our words will be guarded as well. And remember that you will not be judged for the words that are on the tip of your tongue, but only those that become, 'Air Bourne'.

So why not right now, stop and pray this prayer of David, the man after God's own heart and allow the Spirit of God to order each and every word of your conversation each and every day.

Prayer Father I thank-You for redeeming me through Christ Jesus my Lord today not only to a higher and holier way of living and loving, but especially of speaking in order that other's will be encouraged and built up by Your words that they hear coming out of my mouth. Holy Spirit, empower me today to bless with the words I say, I ask this through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.

Memory Verse:  1 Timothy 2:8 NLT "Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and strong in the faith. And many people were brought to the Lord.”
