A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse  July 6, 2018 Knowing the Truth   Scripture Reading – Romans 14:11 - 12 (NLT) "For the Scriptures say, 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will confess and give praise to God."

The Bible is clear that by the things that are seen in the marvel of God's creation: sun, moon, stars, Jupiter and Mars, even the uniqueness of each one of us each day as we look in the mirror with our fingerprints and personal DNA hand crafted by the Father - that there is a loving Designer and Creator behind all of these wonders we still are trying to fully comprehend and discover.

In fact I often have said to those who proclaim to believe in creation apart from God that it actually takes more faith in my opinion to believe that all that we see, are and the order of the universe came from a bang (even a big one.....smile), as opposed to Him. So by the things that are seen God shouts with every new sunrise and evening moonlight that He is alive. One day, every knee will have to bow and every tongue will have to confess that Christ Jesus is Lord. Not only that, but also will bend their knee to His Sovereign rule and reign.

The joy for those of us who are, 'Knowing the Truth', in Christ Jesus is that we get to confess the Lordship of Christ with our tongues now. Not only with our tongues, but by our conduct in a dark world, we allow His light to shine through our lives. And by speaking the truth in love with our mouths we declare today that indeed Jesus Christ is Lord of and over all things to the greater glory of God our Father.

In our ways and our words others come to discover and confess His Lordship by His grace, carrying the Good News of Jesus to more and more, until Jesus comes again.

Prayer Heavenly Father, with my mouth today I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord over my life. May my actions be a beacon for others to discover Your grace I pray in Jesus precious name.
