A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse July 3, 2018 God's Eyes Scripture Reading – 1 Peter 3:12 (NLT)"The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil."

The children's Sunday School song that many of us learned, 'He sees all you do, He hears all you say, My God is watching all the time, time, time, time...' is illustrated in a most beautiful way for those of us who have a matured understanding of its meaning.

God truly does see everything that everyone does, and in His Providence, He allows people their freedom to choose, not willing that anyone would perish, but allowing people to either choose to serve Him, or not.

We are told that the rain falls both on the just and the unjust in this life, and people are free to enjoy the beauty of a clear blue sky, a moonlight night, the meandering of a mountain stream, or be in awe of the mountains heights. However, we are reminded that, 'God's Eyes are truly seeing everything that everyone does. And though His grace, love and mercy are extended to all - should an individual choose not to respond to God's love demonstrated to us in Christ Jesus, the time will come when they stand before Him and face judgment from the One who alone can pardon. It is not anyone's desire to see the face of God turned against them, nor is it His.

This is why the Good News of Jesus Christ and the Gospel message of God is such a glorious message of hope that must be extended through each one of our lives. For our loving Lord Jesus Christ is the One who bore the penalty for our sins, and not ours alone, but the sins of the whole world.

Remember today the time that you were washed and the great burden of sin was lifted from your life, and you were born again. This our joy as we walk together in God and extend His matchless grace through our lives.

Prayer Father in heaven I rejoice in the good things that You have planned for me today. Help me to see each and every opportunity that has been given to me to serve You and honor Your precious name in seeing others rescued by the love of Jesus.
