A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse May 29, 2018 The Will of the Father Scripture Reading – John 10:37 - 38 (NLT)"Don't believe me unless I carry out my Father's work. But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don't believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father."

We know that our Lord Jesus Christ carried out: 'The Will of the Father' absolutely perfectly. He said things such as: If you have seen me you have seen the Father, I and the Father are one, I only do those things that please my Father, I am in the Father and the Father is in me, and on the cross - It is finished, which signified completing absolutely all of the work that the Father had required in order to secure our eternal salvation through His sacrifice on the cross, and shedding of His precious blood.

Yet for each one of us who call ourselves by His name, 'Christians', He has instructed us to pray: Our Father, to pray His kingdom come and His will to be done, to ask the Father for anything in His name, to glorify our Father in heaven by what we do and think and say, to do and pursue the will of our Heavenly Father, to work the good works that the Father has prepared for each one of us to do.

When we by grace actually do these good works that God has prepared for us, in the Person and power of the Holy Spirit, many more people will experience the life that Christ Jesus alone can bring.

The result of this kind of faith and obedience is once again that the Son glorifies the Father, and the Father is glorified through the Son. This is our honor as we live each day of our lives, do discover His will, pursue and persevere in it until we see Jesus face to face.

Prayer Heavenly Father I pray through Jesus Christ my Lord that You will glorify Your name through my life. Holy Spirit fill me, lead me, guide me along the way that is most pleasing to the Father today I pray for the greater glory of Christ Jesus my Lord.

Memory Verse:  John 14:13 NLT “You can _____ for __________ in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father."
