A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse May 2, 2018Who Cares? Scripture Reading – Hebrews 6:10 (NLT) "For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers as you still do."
Someone once correctly said, 'people will not care how much you know, until they know how much you care'. And in a world with lives so filled up at times it seems with oh so many needs, the refrain rings out, 'Who Cares'?
The answer of course, God does. So much so, that He sent Jesus Christ His Son to enter into the sufferings of this world and save from sin all who come to Him believing and receiving His sacrifice.
And when Jesus cried out, 'It is finished', and now that He is at that place of authority at the Father's right hand, He is praying that we will demonstrate in the same way He did the Father's love to a world in need.
At times may it seem overwhelming - of course. But remember that the just God is watching each and every prayer you pray, deed you do, service you render for others in His name. And He will remember and reward you for each and every act of faithfulness.
These actions of caring will not be the result of wishful thinking or even praying alone, but rather of hard work and sacrifice given over to the Father. Not at all because we have to work, or have to care, or have to love out of obligation. But rather we do so out of love and admiration for all that we are and will be in and through the grace of Christ Jesus our Lord.
Prayer Heavenly Father I remember Your love, Your care and the work of Christ Jesus on the cross on my behalf that has brought forth the gift of salvation in my life. Fill me today unto every good work You have purposed for me I pray in Jesus precious name.
Memory Verse: Acts 1:8 NLT “But you will receive _______ when the Holy _______ comes upon you. And ____ will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…”
