A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse April 30, 2018 The Law of Life Scripture Reading – Galatians 5:22 - 23 (NLT) "But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things."

 As we come to know the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Person, presence and power of the Holy Spirit takes up residence within us, we become dispensers of: 'The Law of Life'. And by Him, through Him and to glorify Him we now can be: Loving with the unconditional agape love with which we have been forgiven; Joyful, exhibiting the strength of Christ in and through each situation we face; Peaceful, not from our circumstances, but from our Savior; Patient - yes, please be patient with me too, because God is not finished with me yet; Kind making it our very own business to make others happy;

Good, just as God has been to us, we take the position of demonstrating His goodness to those He brings across our pathway; Faithful - When you think about how many people have come from all over the world to visit, 'Old Faithful' in Yellowstone Park, imagine what an attraction you are as this is demonstrated day in and day out; Gentle - not likely a very important trait in many character references for job applications, but right up there in the Kingdom of God; Self-controlled, which demonstrates more than anything the glory of God chorusing through our lives.

And while there many laws defining many limits concerning many things. When it comes to this life of the Spirit there is no law or limit whatsoever. So gladly go, and in His strength show forth His glory.

Prayer My Father in Heaven I rejoice that I can abide in Christ Jesus my Lord. Holy Spirit may Your life flow through me today, for the glory of Jesus Christ I pray.

Memory Verse: Acts 1:8 NLT“But you will receive _______ when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…”
