A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse April 16, 2018 Worth Waiting For Scripture Reading – Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint." You have heard the true saying that, 'good things come to those who wait'. And when it comes to the promises and presence and power of God it certainly true that He is, 'Worth Waiting For'.

For our God is no respecter of persons, and each one of us through Jesus Christ our Lord have complete and open access to His very presence, power and Person. And so as we trust in His name and His promises the result is that we will receive His strength. We also will gain a brand new perspective.

When we are at ground-zero, our field of vision is limited by our sight line. However, as we soar in the Spirit of God, we can break through even the darkest of storm clouds and allow the Holy Spirit to raise us up for the glory of Jesus.

Not frantically flapping, but spreading our wings and soaring. We will have the ability to run the race the Father has placed before us and encourage others to do the same with our joyful example. We will be in it for the long haul for the glory of God, not fainting or even faint of heart, but walking with the bounce in our step that our Lord Jesus provides in the secret place that we abide.

Prayer My Father, right now I take a moment to pause, to wait, to acknowledge You. I receive Your perspective in the Word and by the Holy Spirit. I allow You to renew me so that I carry on in Your strength, Your power, by the Person and presence of Your Holy Spirit for the greater glory of Jesus Christ my Lord.
