A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse April 13, 2018 Never Give Up Scripture Reading – Galatians 6:9 - 10 (NLT) "So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone - especially to those in the family of faith."

I am quite certain you know this man, though his life was fraught with many failures and disappointments which could have caused him to give up or quit. Consider these: had to work to support his family after they lost their home, his mother passed away, he was defeated for legislature, he failed in business, lost his job, could not get into law school, went bankrupt and spent the next 17 years paying off debts, defeated again for legislature, engaged to be married - but his sweetheart died, had nervous breakdown and spent next six months in recuperation, defeated three times for Congress, defeated for Senate three times, defeated for Vice - President and in 1860 Abraham Lincoln became the sixteenth President of the United States of America.

Our text reminds us today friends, 'Never Give Up'. Remember that Jesus Christ is leading you in triumph. The harvest blessing is promised for you. The finish line is just around the corner and the One who called you and began this good work of salvation in you will enable you to successfully cross the finish line. And then....it's harvest time - celebration time. So never tire of going on, pressing through, and doing good to all people, especially those who name of the name of Jesus. For God will strengthen and be with you, and His eternal reward will forever shine upon you.

Prayer Father, I rejoice in Your calling on my life. Help me in those times I may tire, or help me to help my sisters and brothers who may be going through times of testing right now, to know that Jesus will carry us successfully through in the Person, presence and power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God. I commit myself fully to Your purposes and plans for my life in Jesus precious name.
