A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse March 30, 2018 Willing Students Scripture Reading – 2 Thessalonians 2:14 - 15 (NLT) “He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. With all these things in mind, dear brothers and sisters, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the teaching we passed on to you both in person and by letter."

The Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord, is not simply information, but is the life changing transformation and salvation of the human heart. As such we need to be, 'Willing Students', under the stewardship of the Holy Spirit. This will be demonstrated in our lives as we take a strong stand in the name of the Lord, showing ourselves to be His disciples in loving, leading and living with lives that follow after the cross daily.

It will further be demonstrated as we take His Word to heart in our lives, showing ourselves faithful to His house, praying for those in places of leadership and striving with all that we are and have to be growing in the good graces and knowledge of God and His Son our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.

We understand that the love letter from God is His holy Word, and Jesus Christ is the Living Word. But we also are called to remember that each one of us who names His name are living letters, epistles read by all men demonstrated by the way we choose to live our lives, and the things that we show others we value.

And so today, once again, may the Holy Spirit cause us to pause, to reflect, to realize those things that are most precious in our lives. In so doing, we will attract others to the One Who loves them and gave His life so that they could also know life eternal.

Prayer Father in heaven may Your kingdom come and Your will be done. Even through my life Lord, teach me today to glorify Jesus in all I do.

Memory Verse:  Ephesians 2:4 – 5a NLT “But God is so rich in ______, and he _______ us so much that even though we were _____ because of our _____, he gave us life when he ________ Christ from the dead.”
