Wonderful Jesus Scripture Reading – Mark 7:37 (NLT)“They were completely amazed and said again and again, 'Everything he does is wonderful. He even makes the deaf to hear and gives speech to those who cannot speak."

There was such a wonder in the hearts of the people as they not only listened to the things that Jesus said, but watched the works that Jesus did. By these things, He certainly distinguished Himself as the Son of God. In today's story, this deaf man was brought to our Lord, but Jesus led the man away from the great crowd. Often times Jesus did not want His miracles to be done in big crowds, or even repeated to many. For what was important to Him was the individual interaction with Him, and response of believing faith that was expressed for healing.

When this man who could not speak or hear was healed, the crowd could not help themselves from telling everyone, and the testimony of today's text is that they were amazed again and again, over and over, with the wonderful works that Jesus Christ did.

May we too today be amazed again and again for our, 'Wonderful Jesus'. For once again He has given you and I this day to display His glory and walk in the fullness of His mighty plan. And that may mean that we don't tell everyone everything that we have on our hearts, but like Mary - treasure them up, and continue to trust Jesus to do His great works in His way and His time. It also may mean that we can bring those things that are great needs, or even reach into the lives of others and desire to help them to come to Jesus and discover His fullness of life.

For Jesus alone is still the One who is bringing light into the darkest places of people's hearts, and speaking words of hope and healing to those who are weighed down and hurting.

Prayer Heavenly Father today I remember that every good and perfect gift comes down to me from above, and You never change. Lord Jesus I thank-You for your wonderful working in my life, and ask for the Holy Spirit to continually open my eyes, heart and understanding that others would trust in Jesus too. I pray this for His glory and honor and in His mighty name.

Memory Verse:  Philippians 3:14 NLT “I ______ on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”
