A Daily Devotional with Pastor Doug Crouse March 3, 2018

More Than Enough Scripture Reading – Mark 6:42 - 44 (NLT) “They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftover bread and fish. A total of 5,000 men and their families were fed from those loaves!"

Is there ever a time in your life where you feel quite honestly that you are at the end of your rope, cannot go on any longer, or that you just don't have everything or perhaps even anything that is necessary to meet the task at hand?

Such was the corporate feeling of the disciples this day as they asked Jesus to send these thousands of people away to get some food, to which He responded by telling them to go ahead and feed them!

So they rounded up what they could find, five loaves and two fish and brought it to Jesus. And yes, you know the story, it was absolutely, 'More Than Enough'. Those 7,000 to 10,000 people had the best ever tasting fish and bread ever. They enjoyed an all you could eat buffet that day, until each one was fully satisfied. And the end result was that there were twelve baskets left over at the end of the feast!

My friends, do not tire in the good works that God is placing around your life, but realize that as great or yes, even impossible as the need may look, that when you truly take what you have and place it into the hands of Jesus, you will indeed have more than you need.

Oh, yes and in the process - you too will eat and drink of the richest of fare, feasting on our Lord Jesus Christ, the bread of life. And plenty will be left over to share with others too as is required!

Prayer Heavenly Father, give me today my daily bread. I look to You Living Lord Jesus, fill my cup today, that Your abundance may flow through me, touching others with Your abundant grace, mercy and love. I receive this right now in Jesus name.

Memory Verse:  1 John 1:9 NLT“But if we confess our sins to him he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”
