You Know the Peace Speaker Scripture Reading – Mark 4:38 - 40 (NLT)“Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, 'Teacher, don't you care that we're going to drown?' When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the water, 'Silence! Be still!' Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, 'Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?"

Now if there is one thing that most of the men that Jesus were familiar with as they were seasoned fishermen - it was sailing on the ocean. And you can be sure that they would not, especially as a group together even in rough weather shall I say.....lose it!

But that's exactly what they did - not because the weather was not bad, I am sure it was, or the storm was not great, most certainly it was too! But they lost it, because they never heard what Jesus said in the beginning - that they were going over to the other side. And so when they looked at Him sleeping in the boat, they just assumed shall I say that Jesus was asleep at the switch, and unaware of their perilous circumstances.

Nothing could be further from the truth in their case, or in mine or yours either! For have you honestly ever felt, especially when you are going through something that makes no sense to you, or a situation that you feel as though you might not make it through, that Jesus is in fact not looking out for or even caring for you?

If you ever have, I must confess.....me too!And I love the Bible, it shows us that the people  God calls, both in the Old Testament and the New and right through to me and you now living 2018, are just that....people. At times fraught with fears and doubts in this sojourn of life.

What we need to know as we successfully navigate the storms of life for the greater glory of Jesus, and His joy in our hearts - is that we should not be surprised at all as the storm clouds gather, the winds blow and the waves rise, even crashing over the sides of our boat. But rather that we should exercise faith. He is not asleep! He is seeing all and nearby! And He will take you safely through to the other side!

Remember today however things may look that, 'You Know The Peace Speaker'.
