The One You Can Turn To Scripture Reading – Daniel 9:2b – 4 (NLT)“I Daniel, learned from reading the word of the LORD, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years. So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and fasting…I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: ‘O Lord, you are a great and awesome God! You always fulfill your covenant and keep your promises of unfailing love to those who love you and obey your commands.”

There are many people who have not realized yet even as Daniel did in today’s text that Almighty God is, ‘The One You Can Turn To’, not only when you find yourself in need, but each and every day for His grace and power to be displayed in and through your life.

However, for those of us who are children of God we certainly have a perfect illustration on how we can call out to God, even in deep moments of need. It is through the Word of God, the Bible that God will speak to us, through His Spirit, and direct our lives as we allow Him to wash over our hearts and minds.

When Daniel learned of the plight of God’s people, he turned to God not only in prayer, but in fasting too. Jesus told those who criticized his disciples for not fasting, that when He was gone, then His disciples would fast – speaking of you and I. It these in times and places of prayer and fasting we get the attention of our Father and let Him know that we are serious about those things that we are trusting and believing Him in faith for!

As we come to our God, we too can be assured that there is absolutely no one like Him. He is great and above all things and through Jesus absolutely nothing is impossible or impassable. By standing in faith believing God’s great and precious promises, you and I will know God’s answers in His perfect timing for all of His promises are true and the Amen is spoken to each one of our lives through Jesus our living Lord.

And be reassured my sister and brother that God’s love for you is never changing, unending, unfailing and true. Of course it is His great love that draws us closer in the places of trust and obedience as we follow Jesus all along life’s way.

Prayer Father I turn to You once again in prayer and thanksgiving for all that You have planned and purposed for me in Jesus. Help me to walk in the fullness of my calling that I might bring great honor and glory to You, I pray in Jesus precious name.

Memory Verse:  Mark 12:30 NLT“And you must _____ the LORD your God with ____ your _____, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.”
