God Means What He Says   Scripture Reading – 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)

“That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Stop for a moment my sister and brother and consider everything that surrounds our lives.

What is the most beautiful thing you have seen? Is it an early morning sunrise, the beauty of a clear moonlight sky, the majesty of the mountains or the awesome rolling of the ocean waves?

How about the most pleasing thing that your ears have ever heard? The voice of that one telling you how much they love you, the singing of the birds softly in the trees, the composition of a piece of music played with excellence?

What is the most awesome thing you have ever imagined? A world filled with peace, joy and love? Paying off all of your debts? Knowing the blessing of health in your life, or the life of a loved one?

Today’s text reminds us that, ‘God Means What He Says’, when He is promising us not only the riches of His grace in this life, but a heavenly reward that is incomparable to anything we already know.

No matter what someone may have seen, heart or imagined in their hearts and minds – the place and the reward that our loving Father in heaven is preparing for those who love Him is something certainly to live and love for.

This preparation that the Father in heaven is making is not for us alone friends, but God is waiting for more people to come and find life in Jesus precious name. Let’s do our part in sharing the Good News of the Gospel of God’s love for the world in Jesus. For as we do – great will be our reward!

Prayer Heavenly Father, how thankful I am for the riches of Your grace in Jesus Christ and the promise of a reward for those who faithfully respond to Your great love. Holy Spirit, continue to give me a heart that will follow after the highest purposes of God for my life, that Jesus may be glorified and others will find life in His name.

Memory Verse:  Romans 8:37 NLT “No, despite ___ these _______, overwhelming _______ is ours through _______, who ______ us.”
