How Much More?   Scripture Reading – Matthew 7:11 (NLT)

“So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.”

Our Father in heaven is so much in love with us that He gave of His one and only begotten Son on the cross for not only for our eternal salvation, but that we might come into a living, breathing, growing active daily relationship with our living and loving Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, we are a sinful people, but God showed us His great love by sending Jesus for us all!

Even we as sinful people know how to give good gifts to our children. Our hearts, ears and eyes are looking out for their very best interests and sensitive to their needs. Most of us as parents would do absolutely anything for our children because of our love.

You will remember the curtain was torn in the Temple from top to bottom when Jesus Christ offered up the perfect sacrifice of His body and blood, so that we now can go at anytime, anywhere and any place into the very presence of God!

There is no doubt that God wants to give us good gifts, as we continue to come to Him with all of our hearts devotion and lives, asking, seeking and knocking. The real question that you and I need to ask ourselves is, ‘How Much More’, of God do we really and honestly want in our lives?

Are we content to just know that we are on our way to heaven, or do we want to know more of His heart, want to walk in a new measure of obedience by laying down our lives and picking up our cross daily, resulting in more and more people coming to heaven?

As we continue here at SPA in these 40 Days of Prayer, I trust that you are hearing the call of the Holy Spirit, and praying to the Father, ‘Draw me nearer Lord’. For as you keep in this posture God will fill your life to all of the measure of the fullness of God  - Yes even to overflowing through Jesus Christ our Lord. Truly there is no greater gift than we can ever enjoy or impart to others than that of living and loving daily in His purpose, plan and in His presence.

Prayer My Father in heaven I come joyfully once again into Your presence today. Create in me a hunger I pray to be asking, seeking and knocking for more of Your presence, that Your purposes will fill and flow through my life, reaching others as a testimony to Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord.
