What God Thinks About You   Scripture Reading – Psalm 139:17 - 18 (NLT)

“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!”

According to author A. W. Tozer, what you think about when you think about your heavenly Father is the most important thing, because it affects everything in your life. For some of us we make a parallel to our earthly father. I am so thankful that I had a wonderful (not perfect, even as I am not) dad until this past March 7th when Jesus came and took him home. For others our concept of father does not bring back good memories, because of painful experiences with their earthly dad.

But our God is a loving, good Father, or in the wonderful words of the chorus, ‘He’s a Good Father…That’s Who He Is’. And unlike even the best father here on earth our God is perfect in all of His ways. So we need to adjust our thinking as required to see a perfect Father who knows everything about us, sent His only Son to save us, and loves us with an unconditional, and unchanging love.

In this framework today’s text reveals, ‘What God Thinks About You’, and it is an amazing grace indeed. His thoughts about you in Christ Jesus are precious. As we have come to find forgiveness in His name, God not only calls us His servants, but His very own daughters and sons.

How precious you may rightfully ask? Well if you can imagine all of the beaches on all of the oceans of the world and add up all of the grains of sand in all of the oceans – that is exactly (though we could never count), how precious His thoughts are for you. And His plans and purposes are absolutely the best, because it was for these that you and I were created.

No matter if you are waking, or sleeping, no matter where you are my friend, you can be assured that God is always with you and He will never leave you not even for a second!

Prayer Abba Father I come to You today once again through Jesus Christ my Lord thanking You for Your thoughts, plans and purposes for my life – all surrounded by Your great and unchanging mercy, love and grace. Make a reflection of what it means to walk in the security of this relationship as one of Your very own children I pray in Jesus precious name.

Memory Verse:  Romans 8:37 NLT “No, despite ___ these _______, overwhelming _______ is ours through Christ, who loved us.”
