Our Faithful Father   Scripture Reading – 2 Timothy 2:13 (NLT)

“If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.”

Concerning the faithfulness of our loving God and Father let us be reminded today that: His faithfulness is great; His faithfulness will keep you in the hour of temptation and testing; His faithfulness called you to Himself in the beginning and will see you through to the end; He is the faithful Father who keeps all of the promises that He has made and through Christ Jesus they are yes and amen; His faithfulness extends to the heavens and is higher than the clouds; His faithfulness flows from generation to generation; His faithfulness along with His mercies and fresh and new each and every morning.

Yes, my sister and brother all of these things and more remind us today of, “Our Faithful Father”. And as we look at today’s text we are reminded that even in those times of doubt and moments when we may waver in our faithfulness, God will remain faithful to us.

Not that we should use this as an excuse to be faithless, but rather because of the great love of God through Jesus Christ our Lord, and His everlasting commitment to be faithful to us – it should call us to a greater place of faithfulness in our own lives in response to all that God has done, is doing and will continue to do through Jesus Christ our living and loving Lord on our behalf.

We also should be on the lookout for those whom we may be able to encourage, whose faith may be weak in the hour of testing and remind them of the goodness, grace and faithfulness of the One who loves us all so much that He gave of Jesus His only begotten Son to bring us into this newness of life.

Prayer My Father in heaven how I thank-You once again today for Your great faithfulness in my life. For the cleansing of my sins, the newness of life, the promises of God and the victory that is mine through Jesus Christ my Lord. Fill me and use me I  pray, making me an example of Your faithfulness this day.

Memory Verse:  Romans 8:37 NLT “No, despite ___ these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”
