God's Gracious Guidance   Scripture Reading – Psalm 119:132 - 133 (NLT)

“Come and show me your mercy, as you do for all who love your name. Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil."

In the prayer that our Lord taught us to pray, there is the phrase that implores that we forgive the sins of others in the same manner that we have been forgiven by God. And today's text speaks to our lives of, 'God's Gracious Guidance', in each one of our lives.

A wonderful posture with which to approach the Father is that recognition that in Christ Jesus, He has and continually shows us His wonderful mercy. Now mercy is described as that which one in no way deserves, or getting exactly what we do not deserve.

This petition asks that God would reveal His mercies to our lives, since His mercies are new every morning to each and every one who calls upon His name. This is such a wonderful prayer, because for everyone who begins to be able to understand, how much mercy they have and are receiving from God, they will then be the dispensers of mercies to people around them, who indeed have in no way deserved it at all.

As one walks in humility and in light of the ever active mercies of God upon their lives, they will be in a much better place to be guided by the light of His love and wisdom of His word. Walking after the ways of the Father, will not only protect our lives from danger, but will allow us to be a trail-blazer for those Christ is calling into the light and away from the night.

Prayer Father thank-You for Your mercies in my life that indeed are new each and every morning. Guide me I pray, each step along the way, allowing Your light to show others the Way. I receive this through Jesus my Lord today.

Memory Verse:  Revelation 21:5 NLT “And the one sitting on the throne said, '______, I am making everything ____!' And then he said to me, '______ this down, for what I _____ you is trustworthy and true."
