Dark Nights, Bright Lights   Scripture Reading – Psalm 119:55 - 56 (NLT)

“I reflect at night on who you are, O Lord; therefore, I obey your instructions. This is how I spend my life: obeying your commandments."

For certain, one need look no farther than the evening newscast to see reports of how things that once seemed natural and right, have been turned upside down even to the place of wrongs being proclaimed as rights.

The bible is clear that as the return of Jesus draws nearer that a couple of things will be taking place at the same time. There will come a great outpouring and revival of righteousness and ingathering of souls into the church of Jesus Christ. While at the same time, people will love the darkness and reject the light - refusing to come to a knowledge of the truth.

It is good for each of us as daughters and sons of the loving God to remember that, 'The darker the night - the brighter the light'. So as we do not join in with those participating in the deeds of darkness, but rather reflect on the glory of Jesus Who has saved us - we then become a reflection of His grace, calling others to come and see that indeed He is good.

And while right may be called wrong, and at times in this world wrong may be proclaimed as right. As we spend our lives walking in the knowledge of the light, we truly will be a beacon saying: 'Dark Nights, Bright Lights'.

God has not called us to curse the darkness, but rather to light a candle of hope calling people to find life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer Heavenly Father, You are the God of light, and all good and perfect gifts come from above. Holy Spirit, fill me today, and make me a light in the darkness, drawing others to find life in You, I pray through Christ Jesus my Lord.

Memory Verse:  Revelation 21:5 NLT “And the one sitting on the throne said, '______, I am making everything ____!' And then he said to me, '______ this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true."
