The Right Time Scripture Reading – Esther 4:14 (NLT)

"If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?"

For those of you familiar with the story of Esther, you also are familiar with the phrase, 'for such a time as this', or as I have titled it, 'The Right Time'. Always easy for us to read over a few pages of the Word of God and not understand how much it applies and relates to our lives, especially when perhaps in our eyes and understanding present life circumstances seem to make little or no sense at all.

Take Esther who was orphaned into the care of Mordecai - that could have not been easy. Then because of her beauty chosen as one of the beauty pageant contestants along with numerous other young beautiful virgins as a possible Queen for the King. Must not have been easy to be one among many young ladies that may be possibly chosen for this honor. Especially as the competition heated up near the end of the road.

Considering her time of preparation, one year of the best SPA, and beauty treatments that one could ever afford, or even hope to ever afford. Only to come to this one possibility of a night with the King to save her people the Jews from death.

As I continue to walk through this pilgrimage of faith and that along with the people of God, I like the way that Esther finally prepared to approach the King. Requesting prayer and fasting from those closest to her. And then declaring that no matter if she should live or die, at least she would be faithful to this opportunity and try!

So should our hearts and lives be, especially in those times that it seems that we cannot see. By faith believing that our Father is working out all things for His good in and through our lives, we will keep on in faith believing, until we too see our King!

Prayer Father I confess out loud that You are good, and Your plans for my life are the same. I receive this blessed assurance and ask You to help me to encourage others to do the same, in Jesus precious name.
