Together...Forever Scripture Reading – Revelation 21:2 - 4 (NLT) "And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, 'Look, God's home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever."

I remember in a long past age, where we did not have the instant connectivity of internet or smart phones that people actually wrote letters and took them to the mail box to send.In fact, when I was dating my wife, so madly in love was I (and still am....even more so now after 35 years of marriage), that I actually would write a letter each and every day, and post them. She did the same to me, as we were separated by schooling and jobs at the time. At the bottom of all of those letters I wrote: 2 - Gether 4 - Ever 4 - Ever 2 - Gether (sappy I know, but I will blame it on love, as I still put it on our cards even after these 35 years of married life together).

But for those of us who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and have been united with God through His blood and are called His body, truly we will one day be, 'Together....Forever'. And I love the imagery of the Revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ we read of in today's text. We are the bride of Christ, and when God reveals His holy city, that new Jerusalem coming down from heaven, it will be like a bride dressed for her husband.

All of the former things of this life will be done away with: pain, heartache, suffering, sickness, sorrow, tears, death, brokenness - and God will show us a new way of living and loving together to be forever in His presence.

This is the message of God's great love that we are able to share with people, that He wants to be together with us and He wants that together to last forever and forever!

Prayer Father I rejoice in the love that is ours in Christ Jesus and in thinking about all of the things that You are preparing for those who love and serve You. Use me today along with all of the body and bride of Jesus Christ to invite people to Your celebration I pray for now and forever in Jesus precious name.

Memory Verse:  Ephesians 4:29b NLT "Let ____________ you say be good and __________, so that ______ words will be an encouragement to those who hear them."
