In His Name Scripture Reading – Hebrews 13:15 - 16  (NLT)

"Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God."

The name, 'Christians' that was first given to Christ followers in Antioch was actually one that was given from the world in a mocking sense to mean, 'little Christ's'. However, as we realize that, 'In His Name', we have access to all of the blessings of the Father, we then will choose to rise up and live faithfully in the truest sense of His name and for His greater glory.

Peace comes to our hearts and lives in a remarkable way when we choose to be those who continually offer up sacrifices of thanksgiving and praise in His name. It is the work of the Holy Spirit Who is called alongside to help us to see that His peace fills us. When we walk in such a way we, like Christ are showing boldly to this world that our delight is just like Jesus Christ's, to please and do the will of our Father.

It really only is at that point when we can honestly begin to shift our own attentions from our selfish needs, wants and desires and begin to focus on others around us. Then we trust God to fill our cups to overflowing, not only for ourselves, but that we may be those who are able to share in Jesus name and His abundance with others too.

When we continually live in this kind of sacrificial way, it makes our Father smile, and the light of His love freely flows through each one of our lives.

Prayer Father I praise You today, for You truly alone are worthy. May my life be likewise a worthy testimony to Jesus Christ who has loved me and gave Himself for me. Holy Spirit I pray You will pour an abundance into my life that I may share with others who so need to see the love of Jesus Christ.

Memory Verse:  Colossians 3:15 NLT "And let the _______ that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.”
