From God to You Scripture Reading – 1 Thessalonians 2:13  (NLT)

"Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn't think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God - which of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe."

Stop for a moment today and ask yourself truthfully what do you believe about the Bible. The answer to that question really determines how you will live your life down here. The values, and beliefs that will shape you day in and day out. But perhaps even more importantly how you will spend your life for all of eternity itself.

There is nothing more delightful to the heart of a preacher, and I believe to the heart of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit than when we treat the Bible for exactly what it is, the Word of God. Jesus Christ is the Living Word, and it is that Word that will be the standard by which we as His children receive our rewards.

If in all honesty today, the Word is less than today's text applauds the good news is that for as long as you and I live our lives here on earth, we can choose to move closer, to reflect the Lord Jesus in a greater way through our obedience.

We can choose when we go to our places of worship week by week, rather than going only out of habit or form - to go in hungry expectation of hearing God's voice and then reflecting His glory with obedience, faith and belief.

The more we do this, the more others will be drawn into that place of discovery of the power of God's holy Word. The more His Word will work in our lives in ways that only can be attributed to our risen Lord. The more people will come to discover the grace that living in Christ Jesus can only bring.

And so let us purpose afresh once again today to be those who are of the believing bunch! As we do He will bring His Word to lift both in and through us for His glory. Remember my sister, my brother, the Bible is the love letter, 'From God to You'.

I can tell you as a Pastor that when you do these things, it causes our hearts to rejoice and our spirits to soar in mighty thanksgiving and praise to Christ Jesus our Lord.

Prayer My Father in heaven, I rejoice in Your holy Word. Holy Spirit open my eyes to see great things and walk them out in believing faith. I pray this through Christ Jesus my Lord, the living and loving Word.

Memory Verse:  Philippians 4:5 NLT "Let __________ see that ____ are ____________ in all you do.”
