Our Great God   Scripture Reading – Ephesians 1:19 - 20  (NLT)

"I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms."

It was all over for those tired and confused followers of Jesus. Most of them already had ran away and abandoned Him, but the ones who were near the cross saw it with their own eyes, and felt their own hearts pierced with the reality of what had just unfolded after more than three years of following Jesus....He was dead. Or so they thought in their human understanding at least.

What a beautiful prayer the Apostle Paul prays for the Ephesians and for you and I some two thousand years later. That we will not operate in our lives with the carnality and limitations of our human understanding. Rather that we would be those who believe, even in spite of what we may see in the natural. Even things that look dead can come to life as we trust in the name of Jesus!

When we take such a position in faith believing, it will be that same resurrection power that in operation in order that the name of Jesus Christ our Lord will be exalted higher and higher - for truly my sister and brother, our Jesus is not dead, but He is alive!

Not only alive, but sitting at the right hand of the Father, our High and Holy Intercessor, praying that we would believe, only believe that nothing - YES absolutely nothing is impossible, to those of us who will believe.

So tell me - no rather, tell Him - What is that thing that looks dead, that leaves you crippled in defeat and despair with the blinds pulled down, hiding for fear that you may be found? YES, by the Spirit of God may you and I understand and believe that together we will see the glory of God, for the greater glory of Christ Jesus our loving and living Lord. For He most assuredly is, 'Our  Great God'.

Prayer Father, I receive this prayer from the Apostle Paul right now in the name of Jesus. Help me to understand, to see, to believe and to speak in the words of faith for the greater glory of Christ Jesus my Lord, and the extension of Your Kingdom through my life.
