See You Soon   Scripture Reading – James 2:12 (NLT)

"So whatever you say or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law that sets you free."

Someone once wisely and truly said, 'One brief life will soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last'. For the Christian this most certainly is the case. God has told us that our lives be they 40, 50, 75 or even 100 or more years in duration on this earth are like a vapor in light of the eternity that God is preparing for each one of us.

Today's text helps us as His children to live in light of the fact that concerning our standing before Jesus Christ the reality is what we often say to others expecting to meet again quickly, 'See You Soon'. As we both realize, remember and retain this in our interactions with others, we will be careful to understand what is being referred to as the law that sets us free by which we will all be judged.

That is the law of the Spirit of life, the law of grace the law of the Holy Spirit, of which there is no limit upon which we may continually be doing: loving to others, joyful in all circumstances, peace living and peace giving, patient when we need it most, kind even when being dealt with in unkind manners, gentleness when abrasiveness may be expected, good being returned for evil, displaying self-control in out of control situations, being merciful even as Your Heavenly Father is daily merciful to you.

When we by the grace of God, presence and Person of His Holy Spirit within us make it our business to live this way, our meeting with Him will be rewarding in ways we are not even able to begin to ask for, imagine or think!

Prayer Father I rejoice in the law of the Spirit of life that is active in my daily workings today. Holy Spirit empower me to live, lean, learn and love in Your infilling and flowing to the greater glory of Jesus Christ my Savior and Lord I pray.
