How Are You? Scripture Reading – Mark 11:24 - 25 (NLT)

"I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too."

What an amazing promise that we have in today's text concerning those times when we may have a mountain in our way, a circumstance that needs to be moved in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of God. That if we come to our heavenly Father in believing faith, that we can pray for absolutely anything at all, and if we believe that it is ours, we will receive what we are praying for.

If I could bring that promise into a daily context, I would imagine that you were greeting someone and asked them, 'How Are You?'. In a greeting we most often say, 'I am fine, thanks for asking' - which may or may not be true at times.

The second part of today's text asks us that question spiritually. If we hold anything against anyone, anywhere, we need to allow ourselves to process forgiveness in order for our prayers to be successful to the greater glory of Christ Jesus.

So,  'How Are You?', when it comes to extending mercy, grace and forgiveness to those who have or may have offend you, both knowingly or unknowingly? Hopefully, by His grace and for His glory, we will take any offences that we may have against anyone and place them at the feet of Jesus on the cross of Calvary.

When we do this day in and day out, our prayers will bear great fruit for the greater glory of Jesus Christ our risen Lord!

Prayer Father, search my heart today, and show me if there is anyone, anywhere with anything that I need to forgive. Right now I choose to forgive in Jesus name. Holy Spirit use me and make my life a vessel of healing for the glory of Jesus Christ my Lord.
