Come One Come All Scripture Reading – Matthew 11:28 - 30 (NLT)

"Then Jesus said, 'Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."

There is an amazing exchange for anyone anywhere who chooses to come to Jesus Christ and accept the forgiveness that is freely offered by faith in His shed blood on the cross. He, because of who He is (God), is able to take our heavy burden of sin, and yoke us with the grace and gift of life eternal.

As members of His church, our burden has been lifted, and He has given us a new song to sing, a song of praise to our God for His power to save. Now in the church we should have a light burden and be able to say to a hurting world, 'Come One, Come All', and have both the place and the grace to minister to them by pointing them to the One who has given us life eternal.

Even within the church, God is glorified when we share our burdens with others in the place of prayer and receive new grace and strength to go along our way. We can understand that from our natural human body working together with others to shoulder a heavy burden, that it is made lighter. We also understand that two are better than one, and three will make a seemingly impossible task shortly done.

Even so as we come together as members of the body of Christ in such a fashion, His name is glorified, and the church advanced to the greater glory of God our Father. We will walk ahead with a lighter burden because of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, and do so with an open mind that is teachable in the Spirit of God.

Prayer Thank-You Father for the exchange that I made at the cross, where I laid down my heavy burden of sin, and received Your gift of grace. I pray for church families, that we will be able to band together, one for the other and especially pointing others to our great burden bearer, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Memory Verse:  Galatians 6:2 NLT"______ each ________ burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ."
