Follow His Lead Scripture Reading – Galatians 5:25 - 26 (NLT)

"Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another."

For each one of us who have experienced the love and grace of Jesus Christ, we clearly remember the day that we not only sang the song, but said to the Lord, I surrender all. It was in that moment that we were born from above, and the Holy Spirit came and took up residence within us. In those early days there was in most of our lives such a sensitivity to God's voice through His Word and the direction of His Spirit. An honest hunger for more of Him and less of us.

Often times as we travel along the roadway of faith, and the disappointments of life come our way, many believers’ find themselves turning to their own strength to cope, or become disappointed with others and live and love much less than what they were destined for in Christ Jesus.

We are reminded in today's text not to depend on ourselves, but rather each day and in every way to look and listen for the Spirit's leading. God has promised we will know His voice if we will but pause to listen. Such obedience will stop us from belittling others, or even our own lot in life. But as we, 'Follow His Lead' we will dance the dance of God, and sense the beautiful music that our loving Creator destined for us to hear and display for all to see His glory.

Prayer My Father in heaven, I rejoice in the Person and presence of the Holy Spirit in my life. Forgive me at times for selfishness and insensitivity, and help me to not only pause to hear but obey Your voice in all that I think, do and say I pray for the glory of Jesus my Lord.

Memory Verse:  Philippians 2:13 “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”
