SPA Covid Response Update March 17th, 2020
To our SPA Church Family & Friends:

Greetings church family from Pastor Doug and Wanda. We are continuing to be both mindful and prayerful as together with the rest of the world we navigate these times through the COVID 19 coronavirus. As believers in Jesus let’s remember Paul’s encouraging words to the Philippians: ‘Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace...’ (Philippians 4:6 – 7a; NLT). Continue to be prayerful in these days as together we watch and pray.

Church Ministries Immediate Update:

  • Effective immediately in keeping with our Government of Alberta COVID-19 announcements, all SPA Sunday, midweek and other mass gatherings will be postponed until further notice. Do be praying both for all levels of our government as they continue to move in our best interests.

  • Our Sunday service will be available online beginning this Sunday, March 22nd at 10:30 AM. You can view the live stream of our Sunday service by clicking the link below on Sunday, as well for Sundays to come until we can meet together again.

  • The church office will continue to remain open in these days. If you have any specific prayer requests, please let us know by clicking on the link below and we will lift up these needs together with you.

  • If you do not already receive my daily Lifeline devotional, you can click on the devotional tab below and keep in touch in the Word this way.

  • Thank-you for continuing to remain faithful in your tithes and mission’s offerings as we carry out Jesus Great Commission to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Please be praying for all of our missionaries as they are serving all over the world in these days. You can drop by the church office or give online by clicking on the link below.

Best Practices for Keeping Yourself Healthy:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after eating, especially after using the washroom, and after any coughing or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth throughout the day.
  • Cover cough or sneeze with a tissue, then discard tissue in the trash.
  • Avoid close contact with others, including handshaking, hugging or kissing.
  • If you are not feeling well feel free to stay at home and rest until you are feeling better.

We will continue to be both prayerful and responsive in the days ahead as we are: Loving God and Leading People to the Living Lord.

Thank-you for being a valued member of our SPA church family and we look forward to seeing you soon.

In Jesus' love....Pastor Doug and Wanda.
